How this leaderboard was made
We asked an AI assistant that searches Google these questions on 21 October 2026:
- What are the best law firms in New York?
- Which law firms in the US do you recommend?
- Top law firms in New York right now
- For each answer we noted which businesses it recommended, in order, and which web pages it cited. A business ranks by how many of the 3 answers named it, then by how early it was named.
- Answers come from an AI assistant using Google Search on 21 October 2026. They change from day to day and from one asking to the next, so another day, another assistant or a person asking in their own words can get a different list.
- This is not an endorsement, and it is not a paid ranking: nobody pays to be listed, moved up or taken down. Names and websites are as the assistant gave them.
